Friday Favorites: My Daily 3

I am not a big makeup person. I'm a beauty product junkie, yes. But I do not wear makeup daily. I do have my daily go to items though. While I often leave the house freshly clean-faced, when I have that extra 37 seconds in the morning, these are my three go to items I always turn to.

1. Buxom Mascara

I have blond lashes and very light brown brows. If I don't wear mascara, I feel like I look like an albino. This mascara works well for me. And I've tried a SHITTON of mascaras. You should see my drawer of them. Might be time for a clean out now that I think about it.... When in doubt, this is the one I always reach for.

2. Anastasia Brow Filler

I have a brow filler brush from Sephora from like 1998 that I have yet to replace but this powder is my jam. Takes me barely 30 seconds to fill in both brows and makes me feel as though my face is complete. Legit awesome. Now that I think about it, maybe I should have a second one and just keep it in my car so I don't scare people at Trader Joe's anymore....

3. Nars Multiple Stick in Orgasm

Yeah, the name gets me too. But this is my jam. A teeny tiny bit on my fingertips and put on my cheeks just adds a bit of shimmery summer glow. Everyone needs a little shimmery summer glow, right?!

My Night Time Routine

What is your night time beauty routine? I'm VERY basic. Like VERY basic. At 36 years old, you'd think I'd have this insane, ridiculous skin care regimen that I'd do. Nope. I didn't wear makeup until I was 30, didn't learn how to wear eyeliner or colored lipstick until last year, and I actually didn't start "taking care of my skin" until I was about 35. Crazy, I know. BUT, I have a routine and I stick with it. Here's my night time routine. Stay tuned for my morning/every day routine!

Every night, after I brush my teeth, I wash my face with Cetaphil (from any drugstore in existence), splash some BeautyCounter Rose Water on my face, and use my night time Benefit Face Cream.



Then, depending on how dry my skin is, I either use Ultra Repair Cream for basic normal to dry spots, usually my heels of my feet, my elbows, and random spots here and there. If it's bad, like the dead of winter, I use Bag Balm (I was raised on a farm and we used it on cow udders) on my hands and feet and put socks on then get into bed. Seriously. It works. My grandma used to do it with Vaseline!



When I get into bed, on my nightstand, I have this incredible lotion that I love. I've used it probably since college and the lavender smell soothes me to sleep. Bath and Body Works Lavender and Chamomile lotion, with a pump, is perfect. Just a few pumps, lather on my hands, up my arms, and on my elbows soothes me perfectly.

This is totally freaking adorable BUT is really big. Look, I already have a big head and for it to be big on me I can only imagine on someone with a small head! But, cuffed up on the bottom it's cute. And everyone needs a pom pom on the top of their head! This will stay in my closet and be something I grab when I'm cold. I have a cream one from Joie that's pretty similar so this might just be a go-to as needed.

Ultra Repair Cream, value $30



I already own this. I use this. I love this. I get it at Ulta or Sephora. It is a must have in woman's bathroom cabinet, especially in the winter! I don't think I'd survive without it! Totally worth every penny.

KeepCup reuseable coffee cup, value $26



I'm a small person and this coffee cup SCREAMS NayNay! It's between a tall and grande (Starbucks size) and fits perfectly in your hand. The one I got is glass with a pink rim and I can't get enough of it. I've used my Starbucks Alice & Olivia tutu mug from last year almost every day and this is going to be my go to mug now! A great present for anyone- plus it's dishwasher safe!

Manduka Hand Towel, value $16



The one that came in my box is teal. It's meant to be a gym towel. It seems very absorbent. Honestly, I'm probably going to keep it in my car for when I have a coffee or snack spill. If I was a big gym-goer, I would probably use it for that. But I'm not. =)

ToGoSpa Eyes, value $13



These are a fun little find in the box this month. A quick little eye treatment for a nice treat of peace and quiet. I'm excited to try them as I don't really have any regimen for my eyes. Although, I'm 36, so maybe I should....

Skin Jewel Tattoos, value $18



So. Much. Freaking. Fun! I am SO excited to try these out! I've wanted them for a really long time but needed an excuse. Well, here's the perfect excuse! They'll make a great addition to any arm party I wear too!

Nature Valley Protein Granola, value $4



The flavor I got was Peanut Butter & Dark Chocolate. My morning yogurt parfait is excited. When something like this comes in the box, it always throws me for a loop because it stands out =) But, it tastes good and I'll likely buy it from the grocery store. So bonus points for a new granola that I like!

All in all the value of my box this month is about $140 and it cost me $40. Totally worth it. Mainly because I would've bought the cream and tattoos anyways, so everything else is just free and icing on the cake!
