Beautycounter Favorites

In honor of Beautycounter's friends and family sale happening right now (until Monday the 12th) I wanted to share a few of my favorite items from them and why I love them. For the next 6 days, you can get 15% off of your entire purchase (excluding a few sets and regimens) AND if you are a Band of Beauty member (which I am!) you get 10% back in product credit AND free shipping for orders over $100. Not to worry, it's only $29 to join and you can add it onto the order you're about to place!

First and foremost, I want to preface this by saying I am not a one-regimen-fits-all kind of person. I use different products from different companies, some from direct sales companies, some from Target, some from Sephora, and even some essential oils. I know, I know, don't hate. Ha!

I also want to add that I do not sell this product. I just REALLLLY love it.

I have been using Beautycounter products since the VERY beginning this company launched. In fact, several of my nearest and dearest friends are high up their food chain and I couldn't be happier for them. The company does AMAZING things and has made a HUGE impact on safer beauty and I love supporting their company, brand, and mission. But more so, their products are just wonderful.

These are what are in my bathroom at the moment. And allow me to explain them.

1. Charcoal Bar

Their charcoal bar and charcoal mask (not pictured because I'm all out- the horror!) add a pure cleanliness to my face. Now yes, I do have good skin. But I work at keeping it that good. While I'm turning 41 in a few shorts weeks, I enjoy passing for 25 and would like to continue that way til I'm 70, maybe 72.

The charcoal simply takes away all the dirt and toxins and leaves me feeling clean and fresh. No other way to describe it. I use the bar daily and the mask twice a week, but only on my T-zone, my chin, and around the base of my nose. That's where I get the most build up.

2. Lip Balm

I use this every morning. I use a deep conditioning mask on my lips over night but first thing in the morning, this goes right on first out of the shower! I also like their peppermint one.

3. Cleansing Balm

The be-all-and-end-all product that turned me into a Beautycounter junkie. This sh*t is magic. It's a makeup remover, it's a moisturizer, it's a mask, it'll potty-train your toddler. Well, not quite, but you get my point.

4. Resurfacing Peel

I go to bed looking dull and wake up with a glow. Seriously. It hydrates my skin  as much as (if not more than) sleeping with the cleansing balm on my face!

5. Countermatch Lotion & 6. Face Oil

So this is my trick. I take 2 pumps of Countermatch and then add 3 drops of the face oil in my hands and rub-a-dub-dub my face. It's a mixture of miraclemakers. Like legit. You could mix the face oil with other moisturizers (I have) but it's the best with Countermatch for me.

7. Body Oil & 8. Hydrate Lotion

Again, another trick. Mix a few drops of body oil into the lotion in your hands and use all over. I prefer this mixture to days when I shave because it makes my smooth cean shave last a few extra days. I swear.

9. Lip Gloss

I know, you could go to Target and buy a lip gloss for $5. Heck, you could even get one at the dollar store for $1. But it won't be as magical or as flattering as these. My go to shade is Opal/Moonstone, but that's only because I don't REALLY wear makeup a lot. It's a perfect shade to pop on to make me feel like I got dressed, you know, while I'm in my tee and joggers.

10. Lip Sheer

Again, see above about the lip gloss. But these moisturize while giving you color. My go to shades are Pearl and Petal. Both neutral and easy and don't LOOK like you're wearing makeup, or even TRYING to wear makeup.

Notice there is no body soap or hair supplies? I don't lie, I still use a Dove beauty bar in the shower. Don't fix what ain't broke, right?!

And Beautycounter's hair products just don't work for my crazy curly thick hair.

These products are tried and true in my home. See that charcoal bar? Literally pulled out of my shower to take a picture of it. And that Countermatch tube? I squeeze every last drop out of it then cut the end off and scoop it out. I'm not wasting a drop of this liquid gold!
