Thomas The Train via Essex, Connecticut

The Essex Steam Train puts on quite the show every year as they deck out their steam engine as Thomas the Tank Engine!

Seeing Thomas the Train is pretty cool but what's better is RIDING the Thomas Train!!

They have characters set up for a meet and greet and photo opps, a fun antique train set up to see choo-chooing around, and even some fun coloring activities and story time.

What kid doesn't love touch a truck?!

There's a petting zoo there too.

We love going every year and will continue to go as long as Ness loves trains. My husband is 40 and is still obsessed with trains. So, I don't see this tradition stopping any time soon!
