Fashion Friday: Lilly Pulitzer Elsa Top

This week's edition of #fashionfriday is a specific request of this top. Lilly Pulitzer is my jam, in case you're new here. I'm from Florida, It's what I grew up wearing. It's preppy, it's bright, it's fun, it's just, well, me.

I took one of my Elsa tops (I own two) and styled it 5 different ways and if you do not own an Elsa top or a Lilly Pulitzer crazy printed top, feel free to substitute any patterned top with these outfit ideas to suit your wardrobe. I know Lilly is not for everyone. But it's a staple in my wardrobe.

OUTFIT #1: OUT & ABOUT

I am always one to classify clothes into categories, such as "I only wear this for special occasions" or "this is too nice to wear everyday". And that has stopped for me this year. Since I am not shopping for myself for the entire year, I have been thoroughly wearing more items in my closet more often. Case in point, this top. I used to only bust it out for somewhere special. But why? It's not a sequin ballgown or a tuxedo. It's a simple top. So, I've been wearing it more and more. I wore it a few weeks ago to run errands with these chambray shorts and sandals. You can too.

OUTFIT #2: LUNCH BY THE BEACH

Doesn't everyone have outfits planned for lunch by the beach?! Ha ha.

In all seriousness, we LOVE the beach and any excuse to have lunch or drinks or dinner by the water and we take it.

OUTFIT #2 UPDATED: DINNER BY THE BEACH

Switched out my flat sandals for some wedges and it's an instant outfit upgrade! Sure makes me stand up straighter, that's for sure. Being 4'10" is tough sometimes. Espeically because I live in flats.

OUTFIT #3: MOVIES OR GAME NIGHT

Is there much better than a NICE pair of pants that have an elastic waistband? I think not.

OUTFIT #4: ERRANDS

I have a love/hate relationship with white jeans. I love them because I feel they make me appear taller. Like maybe even five feet tall. I also love them because they instantly make anything feel dressier. But I hate them because I have a toddler. Nuff said.

OUTFIT #5: DAY OF SHOPPING (I wish!)

Dark jeans are a must have closet staple. They go with anything and everything. And they instantly take an outfit from blah to BAM. Ha, see what I did there?!

OUTFIT #5 UPDATED: DATE NIGHT

Again, swapped out the sandals for wedges, stood up taller, traded the tote for a clutch, and this mama is ready for a hot date!

Also, this clutch is one of several I have from EmmaLyn Designs. She makes custom clutches and they're all just gorgeous. Choose your interior, exterior, pockets, even add a monogram and a strap. Use code NAOMI15 for 15% your very own custom clutch!

I hope that you've enjoyed this edition of Fashion Friday and my bright pop of print! If there's anything you'd like to see styled, don't hesitate to drop me a comment below or find me over on Instagram and share with me there. See ya next week for another edition of #fashionfriday
